SAN NICOLÁS DE LOS GARZA | Tuesday, October 25, 2016.- They have already qualified to the CONCACAF Quarter Finals and now Tigres is about to guarantee their ticket to the Mexican League Playoffs in order to meet the second objective set for this team in this last half of the year, commented Miguel Ángel Garza, the felines’ Sports Delegate, who explained that if they do so they’ll be aiming for the third goal: To win the title.
“We’ve already fulfilled the first goal (to advance in the Champions League), now we’ve got to achieve the second one, which is qualifying. I don’t think it’s a certainty yet since there are still three more games to play, and if we do meet the second goal we’ll be going for the third, which is the championship.”
The aim is for the team to reach the Playoffs on top form.
“As we commented a few weeks ago, the most important thing is that the team should remain on top form and reach the Playoffs in a good position. I think the Derby is very important, everyone knows what’s at stake here and we hope it will be a great match.”
Being the favorite has to be confirmed on the pitch.
“As a director at Tigres, I’ll always say that my team is on top form, it’s the best squad and everything else. We know that every game must be played and we have to wait for the result at the end of the 90 minutes.”
Pleased with Andy’s performance.
“He needs to adapt as quickly as possible, that’s our target for the players, to arrive and adapt, without undergoing that adaptation period that can be tedious and long at institutions, and hopefully he’ll feel more and more at home.”
