The Congress of the State presented a plaque highlighting the team's work on the field.

Today the Congress of the State of Nuevo León gave special recognition to Tigres Femenil for the title they won in the last Apertura 2022, reaffirming them as the team with the most titles in Liga MX Femenil and the country.

Dip. Ana González was the one who proposed to the plenary session of Congress to reward the work of the Amazonas, which all its members unanimously accepted.

The special occasion happened on Tuesday, March 7, with the presence of the coach, Carmelina Moscato, and the players Liliana Mercado, Nayeli Rangel, and Cristina Ferral representing the entire squad.

The President of Tigres, Mauricio Culebro; the Vice President of Operations, Carlos Valenzuela; the Sports Vice President, Antonio Sancho; and the Administrative Vice President, Luis Gerardo González, also joined the ceremony.

When taking the floor, Dip. González gave a tour of the history of Tigres Femenil, recalled the importance of Osvaldo Batocletti, and expressed her affection for the Club. At the same time, the President of the Chamber of Deputies of Nuevo León, Mauro Guerra, welcomed the team and highlighted the successes of the Amazonas and the development of women’s football.

The politicians used the recognition to remember the commemoration of International Women’s Day on March 8. They acknowledged the squad as an example of character, dedication, and the constant struggle of women to occupy more and more spaces that previously had no visibility.

The Congress of the State presented a plaque highlighting the team’s work on the field and gave each player a medal in a unique and unprecedented recognition.
