Confident in Having a Good Tournament

SAN NICOLÁS DE LOS GARZA, January 15th.- In an interview with the media, Luis Rodríguez expressed his confidence in having a good Clausura 2019, after starting with four out of six possible points.

“We feel very confident in what we’re doing. I think it’s going to be a good tournament,” said Chaka, who has already been a champion with Tigres in 2017.

“Yes, we feel quite confident with the recent results, but every match is different and the next one is very difficult,” he added.

Criticisms are normal…

“We’re also exposed to that (criticism), but it doesn’t matter, it’s normal.”

Cruz Azul without Marcone…

“I don’t think there’ll be a drastic change. I’m sure Cruz Azul has players who can substitute, just like we do, so I think it will be just as difficult.”

Difference between the games against León and Tijuana…

“We’re working on that so we don’t vary so much from one match to another. We always try to maintain our assertiveness.”

Defensive vulnerability doesn’t exist when the team attacks…

“The same as our attack, we’re always well positioned at the back, sometimes the wingers are there, but there’s always someone who keeps the defense in order. Nothing’s wrong, I don’t consider it a vulnerability.”

Strategy of the next opponent, Cruz Azul…

“Personally I think it will be the same (cautious). I think they’ll be checking out what our strategy is, but we’re prepared for whatever happens.”

Rating of the team so far in the tournament…

“It’s just getting started. I think it’s a bit too soon to say anything, but we’re very confident that we’ll make it to the Playoffs, which is our first goal.”

Support for Tuca about earning more than 26 points…

“Definitely. I think that the team has the capacity to always be in the top three places, and to be there, you always need to go the extra mile. Our first goal is to be there.”
