Nothing but Praise for Tigres Women
The Women’s Liga MX selected three Tigres players for its ideal eleven at Day 14, based on a statistical analysis of their performance on the pitch, which led them to a 5-4 win in the 10th Monterrey Derby.
The Liga analyses:
“The felines came from behind to achieve another victory in the Monterrey Derby. A key element in this was result was the participation of Caro Jaramillo, one of the pillars of the Northern team. Her stats include: 13 of her 17 successful passes were on away fields, she was the player who won the most one-on-one attacks of the day (7), she intercepted a ball in the opponent’s box, and achieved three crosses, two shots on goal and two assists.”
“She was one of the key players of the Monterrey Derby. The Tigres Women midfielder orchestrated her side’s recovery against their regional rival, with two ball recoveries, two clearances, 77% pass success, two interceptions in the opponent’s box and two goals scored.”
“The unfailingly skillful Katty Martínez carried the full weight of Tigres’ attack in the Monterrey Derby. The forward had an excellent match, with 89% pass success, 100% effectiveness in one-on-one attacks, three interceptions in the opponent’s box, 3 of her 5 goal shots were on target and she scored a Hat-Trick”.
