Street Soccer Selective Tournament Announced
SAN NICOLÁS DE GARZA | Thursday, February 28, 2019.- Club Tigres joined in as a sponsor of the Street Soccer State Selective Tournament, a social-outreach soccer competition that targets vulnerable young people.
The Tournament was announced by the mayor of San Nicolás de los Garza, Zeferino Salgado Almaguer, together with the Administrative and Operations Director of Sinergia Deportiva, Alberto Palomino Garza; Founding Partner and Coach of the Men’s’ Youth National Street Soccer Team and current World Champion, Abraham Miranda Carlos; and the Director of Street Soccer in Nuevo León, Javier Sánchez Castañeda, all of whom were accompanied by players and former national team members.
The competition will take place on May 24, 25 and 26 in the Main Square of San Nicolás and the invitation is open to all young men and women aged 15 to 23 years old.
Participants can register register, completely free of charge, through the Casa Municipio social sports programs, of the State Ministry of Crime Prevention and Citizen Participation, and of non-profit organizations that work with young people at risk.
In the Homeless World Cup, the young women who represent Mexico have been world champions six times, competing against over 50 countries, while the young men have won the championship three times.
