Working at Full Stretch.- Quiñones

SAN NICOLÁS DE LOS GARZA, March 27th.- The team has been working at full stretch and the upcoming match is one everyone wants to play in, affirmed Julián Quiñones, when discussing the game against the América Águilas

“The team has always been on good form, we’ve been working at full stretch and now the international players have returned, we’re back to normal, focusing on Saturday’s match, which we know won’t be by any means easy,” affirmed the Colombian striker.

Not forgetting about work on days off…

“I think that’s why we’re professionals. We all know that they gave us days off, but that doesn’t mean we forgot about our work. We knew we had to come back and we did so on top form. The team is very close-knit and the intensity can be seen in the training sessions.”

Everyone wants to play…

“Everyone would like to play these games. Let’s hope those who are on the pitch can give their all, because this is a team that always moves forward and always wants more.

“I’ve always felt fine. Opportunities come up and, whether or not it’s my turn to play, I’ll always be there supporting the team.”

We’ll be playing as a team…

“We’re going to do our job, we’ll be playing like the team we are, there’ll be no rivalry. We’ll simply be looking for the three points that the team wants.”

It’s not a Derby…

“I don’t see it like that (as a derby). We really need to put that to one side, that rivalry  you mention, just go out and do our job, play the game in the way that characterizes this team and go all out for the three points.”

Gignac’s possible absence…

“André is an excellent footballer. We’ve had a few matches without him and the team has performed well, because we all play the same and whoever is picked to go on will do their best, which has been reflected in the matches we’ve played without him.”
