Club Tigres announces that it has reached an agreement with the Argentine coach, Diego Martín Cocca, to be the new coach of our team.

Cocca will arrive as Technical Director to the Universitarios after being champion with Racing Club of Argentina and twice with Atlas of Mexico.

Diego had an extensive career as a player over 16 years, since he debuted in 1990 and retired in 2006, during which time he played in clubs such as Lleida in Spain; Atlas, Veracruz and Querétaro, Mexico; River Plate, Argentinos Juniors, Deportivo Español, Ferrocarril Oeste and Banfield, from Argentina.

As a coach he began his career in 2007 and since then he has already directed C. A. I. of the Primera B Nacional de Argentina, Gimnasia y Esgrima de La Plata, Huracán, Defensa y Justicia, Rosario Central and Racing Club of his country; Millonarios de Colombia; as well as Santos, Tijuana and Atlas, from Mexico.

The new coach will host the squad upon his return from vacation on Nov. 28, and will lead the team’s preseason from Nov. 30 to Dec. 10 in the Riviera Maya.
